You will not receive a blessing from God just because you have faith.
You will not be healed or baptized with the Holy Spirit just because you have faith. You won’t get your prayers answered just because you have faith. Most Christians think that faith alone is enough, but it is not. The Bible doesn’t teach that. The Bible teaches that you are saved because you believe and say – confess it, not just believe.
ROM.10:9-10.
“For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved, because with your heart you believe to righteousness, and with your mouth, you confess to salvation.” (Rom. 10:9,10)
Scripture does not say that if you just believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you will be saved. You will not be saved just because you believe. Notice that verse 10 says, “with the mouth they confess.” Confession with the mouth leads to salvation.
MARK 11:23
…Whoever “does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come true, it will be done for him. Jesus doesn’t teach here, “He will be what he believes. He teaches, “He shall be what he says. That is, it will be for you what you say with your mouth. Faith is always expressed in words. And it must be realized by the words that come out of your mouth. This is borne out by all the verses of Scripture we have read. When you speak, it is action.” Kenneth E. Hagin
“If you fail, it is because of your own lips. You have inflicted defeat on yourself. Proverbs 6:2 says, “You have entangled yourself with the words of your mouth” or “You have been caught by the words of your mouth.” Someone said: “You said you couldn’t, and when you said it, you whipped yourself; you said you had no faith, and doubt grew like a giant and bound you; you spoke of failure, and failure bound you.” If you talk about your trials, your difficulties, your lack of faith, your lack of money, your faith becomes weak. But, thank God, if you talk about God’s Word, your wonderful Heavenly Father, and what He has done for you and is doing for you-your faith will grow rapidly. If you confess sickness, there will be sickness in your body. If you speak of your fears and doubts, they will grow and become stronger. If you profess a lack of money, the money will stop coming in. There is no logic in this-it is the truth. I’ve been convinced of that more than once.” Kenneth E. Hagin
“Let us hold fast to the confession of trust steadfastly, for He who promised is faithful.” (Hebrews 10:23)
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will taste of its fruits.”
(Proverbs of Solomon 18:22).
The proclamation is a kind of attacking confession. It is a weapon of the word used in spiritual warfare. It is the unleashing of the power of God’s Word into a given situation: into your own life, into the lives of others.
Any weapon made against HIM will be powerless, and any tongue that rises in judgment against HIM will be rebuked by WE. This is OUR inheritance as servants of the Lord, and OUR righteousness from the Lord of Hosts.
…from your words you will be justified – you will receive a blessing through the promise – and from your words, you will be condemned – ….. To be able to master the tongue is to prophesy into your life, and others as well… Whoever does not sin in the word is a perfect man, able to curb the whole body as well. James 3:2 Does this mean that the words of prayer work in faith, “curbing the whole body”?
Proverbs 18:20-21: “What you say affects your life. If you say good things, good things will happen in your life, but if you say bad things, bad things will happen. The tongue can speak words that bring life or death. Therefore, those who love to speak must be willing to accept the consequences of what they say.”
